Getting to Newhall

As you’ve probably already figured out, Los Angeles is a bit of a sprawl. Newhall is an itty bitty neighborhood at the rim, inside of Santa Clarita County. Like anywhere in the spiraling galaxy that is LA, Newhall will take a little extra work to get to.

The Train Job Altrans Train

  • OPTION 1. Public Transportation (FlyAway and Metrolink):
    • FlyAway Bus: Take the FlyAway bus from LAX to Union Station. https://www.flylax.com/ (It’s important to download the FlyAway app or be prepared to pay by tap with Visa or Mastercard – cash is not accepted)
    • Then, from Union Station, board a Metrolink train on the Antelope Valley Line, which stops at Newhall Station. The Metrolink leaves every hour and takes around an hour to arrive. Newhall station is a short walk or even shorter Uber/Lyft from the Lexen Hotel.
  • OPTION 2. LAX Shuttle Service: Cost is $44, and a short Uber/Lyft ride is needed to get to any of the hotels, including the Lexen and our overflow hotels.

From Burbank Airport

Metrolink from Burbank Airport to Newhall. This is highly recommended, as the train leaves from Burbank and drops off close to the hotel. Trains leave every hour and arrive within approximately 30 minutes.
