The Browncoat Ball event takes place in a different city each year. The Ball is hosted by a local crew of Browncoats that put together the winning bid for that year. The Browncoat Ball Steering Committee evaluates and votes on the bids each year. The Cortex website is a venue for the Steering Committee to publish news and broadwave communications concerning the Browncoat Ball community, hosts, and attendees.

Each winning host city takes control of the www.BrowncoatBall.com website to make their own shiny event! For example, last year’s hosts, the Virginia Beach Browncoats, created their website at www.BrowncoatBall.com/2015 and the main BrowncoatBall.com website was redirected there. During the transition between host cities, the BrowncoatBall.com website is redirected to The Browncoat Ball Cortex website at www.BrowncoatBall.com/cortex, which is what you are viewing now.
