Schedule

So you wanna know what we’ve got in store for you? OK, fine, we’ll tell ya.

We are still finalizing the additional activities but the schedule of events is current. Look for additional items as we get closer to the event. We’ll have full schedules posted at the hotel. The three Tracks are set, as is dinner on Saturday. Full details are listed on the individual event pages.

Ticket sales close this week. We will not be selling tickets at the door.

FridayFRIDAY

Check-in at the hotel is in the early afternoon.

Be on the lookout for signage directing you to our hospitality suite, “The Parlor Room” on the Sixth Floor (room 632). Volunteers will be on staff there from 3:00PM onward to handle registration. If you bought a T-shirt (or two), you can pick it up there as well.

The Prop Museum will also be open starting at 3:00pm. If you are arriving later, do check the on-site schedule for when you can admire the goodies.

We are very pleased to announce that Keith DeCandido, author of the Serenity movie novelization, will be giving a talk at 4:30pm in the Hospitality Suite.

Random unorganized entertainment is on deck for the afternoon. Note that we have yet to receive approval from the hotel for a gosling juggling contest. We’ll let you know if that changes. Lunch and dinner are on your own. The hotel has a bar and restaurant.

In the evening, join our Welcome Reception in the Barrington Room on the First Floor. Given the time of year we are going for a Halloween theme, so come in costume. We will be providing light refreshments and a cash bar, and a mentalist. A door raffle and other prizes are entirely likely.

We may be able to provide dance lessons. Once the party closes down, a late night movie screening or gaming may happen.

SaturdaySATURDAY

Breakfast is on your own, though we do encourage you to find a crew on Friday and partake of the local fare (check back for a additional options).

Pick a track. The buses will be leaving at 9:30AM, or 10AM for the Reaver Track. Departure is from the hotel lobby. Lunch is included with each track, but if you get hungry easily you may want to bring a snack. Make a new friend by bringing one to share.

Reaver Track – Guided tour of HP Lovecraft haunts and the Lizzie Borden house. Plus a look-see at historic Providence. Note that signup for this track closes in early October.

Companion Track – The beautiful mansions of Newport, in all their gilded splendor, plus a trip to the coast for a little sightseeing and shopping.

Shindig Track – Some fine New England hospitality at a local guest house, along with some special guests, music, workshops and chin-wagging.

On-site Fun
The Prop Museum will be open during the day, you may be able to stop in for a while before the buses depart for the off-site activities and we expect it to be open during the break before dinner. It will also be open for a time for anyone who chooses not to take advantage of any of the above tracks. Do check the on-site schedule when you arrive should you want to linger as you admire the goodies.

Tours will be returning at 5:00PM, plenty of time to get ready for dinner and dancing. Late afternoon is time for Primp and Prep, or Cigars and Brandy. Ladies, if you need help with your hair or costume, come on up to “The Primping Room”, adjacent to the Hospitality Suite! It will open at 5:30pm and close at 6:45pm. Gentlemen (and Scoundrels) are encouraged to gather in Alfred’s, the hotel bar, at 6:00pm.

We will have a professional photographer, RT2 photography, in the nicely appointed lounge and dining room, so you can prove to the rebels back home that you can dress up nice. Dancing lessons are possible, indeed probable.

The hospitality suite will close at 6:30pm, so the organizers have time to get ready for the Ball and enjoy some of the pre-dinner socializing.

Have a Ball
Evening is the Browncoat Ball with dinner and dancing. Cocktails at 6pm and dinner at 7pm. Best garb contest. Door raffles. Special announcements. Random fun and ice-breakers. For those of you on a budget or tight schedule, we do have a ball-only ticket option, which includes dinner and dancing.

Some evening entertainments are being discussed, we’ve been getting inquiries from local theater companies, film crews and musicians.

SundaySUNDAY

Feel free to come up to the Hospitality Suite one last time to hang out and say goodbye. Keith DeCandido will be on hand to talk with anyone who might have missed him earlier. We might even watch a few episodes of our favorite TV show!

Also be on the lookout for: Pistols at dawn! Nerf duels on the green! Breakfast!

Watch out for Reavers!

Now don’t just sit there, go buy your ticket!
