The Ball is hosted by a local crew of Browncoats that put together the winning bid for that year. The Browncoat Ball Steering Committee evaluates and votes on the bids each year. The Cortex website is a venue for the Steering Committee to publish news and broadwave communications concerning the Browncoat Ball community, hosts, and attendees.<\/p>\n<p>Each winning host city takes control of the www.BrowncoatBall.com website to make their own shiny event! For example, last year&#8217;s hosts, the Virginia Beach\u00a0Browncoats, created their website at <a title=\"Browncoat Ball 2015 in Virginia Beach, VA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.BrowncoatBall.com\/2015\" target=\"_blank\">www.BrowncoatBall.com\/2015<\/a>\u00a0and the main BrowncoatBall.com website was redirected there.
