From these you have various ways to get to the Four Points by Sheraton Wakefield.

Boston Logan

🚙 You can rent a car, it’s a 25-35 minute drive depending on traffic and the route. Parking is free at the hotel.

🚕 Taking a Lyft/Uber direct from airport is about $30. You may save money by taking the free Silver Line from airport to South Station.

🚌 There is a round trip bus, Logan Express, that will hopefully start dropping off in Peabody, a couple miles from hotel, else there is a stop in Woburn, about 8 miles from the hotel. Tickets are $9 each way and you can book a round-trip in advance.

🚇 If you want to use public transportation, you can plan a trip at MBTA’s trip planner, just enter Wakefield as your final destination. There is a stop for bus and light rail a few miles from the hotel. This will cost $4-13 depending on if you switch to the light rail (Haverhill line) or do a bus transfer.

Worcester

🚙 You can rent a car, it’s less than an hour drive depending on traffic and the route. Parking is free at the hotel.

🚕 A Lyft/Uber will be about $75.

🚇 If you want to use public transportation, you can plan a trip at MBTA’s trip planner, start at ORH, and Wakefield as your final destination. You’ll take the commuter rail into Boston. There is a stop for bus and light rail a few miles from the hotel. This will cost $20-22 depending on if you switch to the light rail (Haverhill line) or do a bus transfer.

Manchester, NH

🚙 The best option if you fly into MHT is to rent a car. It will be about a one hour drive, just get onto 93 South, two exits from the airport.

🚕 A Lyft/Uber from the airport is about $70.

🚌 You can take a bus or get a ride into downtown or to Londonderry to take the Boston Express bus into Boston, then work your way north to the hotel (see Train Job below). The fare is $15.

By Train

If you are coming in by Amtrak, perhaps as part of The Northeast Train Job, you’ll be arriving at South Station in Boston.

🚕 You can get a Lyft/Uber to the hotel for about $25.

The next best way to get to hotel is to get to North Station in Boston.

🚶‍♂️ It’s a 20 minute walk up Congress St.

🚕 Since you will likely have luggage, you can just walk immediately to the street from the main platform and get a cab/lyft. Fare $8-10, plenty of options. Recommend Atlantic Ave (left as you face station doors) as there are more cabs and your ride won’t have to turn around to head north.

🚇 You can take the subway. Go into the station, through the food court, and look for signs for MBTA/Red Line, you’ll go down a couple levels. Fare is ~$2-3. Take the Alewife-bound train to Downtown Crossing (1 stop) switch to Orange Line northbound/Oak Grove. Or go to Park Street (2 stops) and switch to any Green Line eastbound/Lechmere. The transfer is free. Either of these will go to North station in 2-3 stops.

North Station to Hotel

From North Station, get on the Haverhill commuter line headed north to the Wakefield stop. Fare is ~$7. Alternately you can transfer to local bus 137 at either North Station or at the end of the Orange Line (Oak Grove), also to Wakefield. Fare is ~$2. We are working on pick ups from the Wakefield stop.

When you want to head home, just reverse this route. You can do more route planning at MBTA’s trip planner. If you are coming in this way, please let us know so we can help with that last leg to the hotel.

Pickups

We are currently working with the hotel on the best options to get folks to/from the nearby transport hubs. If any New England Browncoats would like like to help with that, please PM us.

Also please look at ride shares and other schedule coordination on the BCB discussion group. It looks like most people are arriving Friday, and about a dozen on Thursday.

Side note

If you wanted to check out Salem early, there is a transport hub in Salem not too far from downtown. Sadly, there is no direct public transit between Salem and Wakefield.

By Car If you are driving to the hotel, from either near or far, our hotel is located at Exit 60 on I-95.
