2006 Browncoat Ball - Fundraising
By all accounts, the 2006 Browncoat Ball was a complete success. We had 150 people from all over the US, Canada and Australia. We have recieved countless thank you notes and stories about how much fun everyone had meeting their fellow browncoats, dancing the night away, and exploring San Francisco.
The only exception to this is the finances. The attendance wasn't quite as high as anticipated, and we got stuck with some fine print in one of our contracts, so we ended with about $900 in debt from hosting the ball. Like the TV show that brought us all togehter, it's really more about the quality of the event than financial success. But people have asked if there's anything they can do to help, so here are a few ideas:
-
Souvenir Photo/Video DVD
If you took photos at the ball or shot any video footage, please email us a CD/DVD containing your high-resolution originals. We'll put them all together on a single souvenir DVD that will be the definitive record of the weekend. We can then sell these for a reasonable amount to anyone who wants a copy - whether they were at the ball or not. But we can't do this without your photos!
