It serves as Delta Air Lines mid-country hub, with nearly 300 daily departures for Delta alone. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rideuta.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Utah Transit Authority<\/a> offers both light rail and bus service from the airport. Fare is $2.50 each way, and the ride takes 15-20 minutes. Note that the bus service ends in the early evening. The last light rail departure leaves around 11:30p, and at 8:00p on Sundays. Some downtown hotels offer free shuttle service to and from the airport. A taxi will cost $15-$20 from the airport to downtown.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Airport #2<\/b>. Located to the southwest of the city in <a class=\"new\" title=\"West Jordan (page does not exist)\" href=\"http:\/\/wikitravel.org\/wiki\/en\/index.php?title=West_Jordan&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1\" target=\"_blank\">West Jordan<\/a>, this serves as a regional airport for smaller, private aircraft.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span id=\"ProTrans_Transportation\" class=\"vcard\"><span class=\"fn org\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.protransparkcity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">ProTrans Transportation<\/a><\/span>, <span class=\"tel\"><span class=\"phone value\">(877) 255-2631\u200e<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"hours\">24 hours\/day<\/span>. <span class=\"description\">Airport Transportation service that provides SUV&#8217;s with 4WD that will transport you from Salt Lake City International Airport to Salt Lake City &amp; Park City ski resorts.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other regional airports include <a href=\"http:\/\/www2.provo.org\/airport.main.html\" target=\"_blank\">Provo Municipal Airport<\/a>\u00a0and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ogdencity.com\/en\/about_ogden\/transportation\/airport.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Ogden-Hinckley Municipal Airport<\/a>,\u00a0but these primarily serve private craft. I-80 continues east into the Wasatch Mountains and eventually <a title=\"Wyoming\" href=\"http:\/\/wikitravel.org\/en\/Wyoming\" target=\"_blank\">Wyoming<\/a> (this route can be closed due to winter weather), and west across the desert to <a title=\"Nevada\" href=\"http:\/\/wikitravel.org\/en\/Nevada\" target=\"_blank\">Nevada<\/a>. I-15 slices through the city and its suburbs north-to-south down the center of the valley, providing access across the entire Wasatch Front, reaching <a title=\"St. George (Utah)\" href=\"http:\/\/wikitravel.org\/en\/St._George_(Utah)\" target=\"_blank\">St. George<\/a> and eventually Las Vegas far to the south and entering eastern <a title=\"Idaho\" href=\"http:\/\/wikitravel.org\/en\/Idaho\" target=\"_blank\">Idaho<\/a> to the north.<\/p>\n<p><b>Interstate 215<\/b> provides a loop around the city, providing access to many of its suburbs and running near the airport. <b>U.S. Highway 89<\/b> enters from the north parallel to I-15. The new <b>Legacy Parkway<\/b> runs parallel to I-15 from the north and connects to I-215, providing an alternative to travel into\/out of Davis County. Otherwise, there are few routes into the valley due to geographic constraints, although all of the suburbs fit nicely into the <b>grid system<\/b> of Salt Lake City. Traffic jams are relatively rare, although they can occur, especially along I-15 during rush hour.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"By_bus\" class=\"mw-headline\">Bus Transportation<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.greyhound.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Greyhound<\/a><\/b>, 300 South 600 W (<i>Salt Lake Intermodal Hub<\/i>), +1 801 355-9579.<\/li>\n<li><b>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rideuta.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Utah Transit Authority<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rideuta.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">UTA<\/a>)<\/b>, +1 801 743-3882. Salt Lake City is served by the <i><a title=\"California Zephyr\" href=\"http:\/\/wikitravel.org\/en\/California_Zephyr\">California Zephyr<\/a><\/i>, <a title=\"Rail travel in the United States\" href=\"http:\/\/wikitravel.org\/en\/Rail_travel_in_the_United_States\" target=\"_blank\">Amtrak<\/a>&#8216;s Chicago-San Francisco train. The westbound train (#5) arrives daily at 11PM and departs at 11:30PM; the eastbound train (#6) arrives daily at 3:05AM and departs at 3:35AM.<\/p>\n<p><b>FrontRunner<\/b>. A commuter rail line running between Pleasant View (just north of <a title=\"Ogden\" href=\"http:\/\/wikitravel.org\/en\/Ogden\" target=\"_blank\">Ogden<\/a>), the Salt Lake Intermodal Hub, and Provo city. Service currently runs every half-hour on weekdays and every hour on Saturdays.
