FRIDAY<\/h2>\nCheck-in at the\u00a0hotel<\/a>\u00a0is in the early afternoon.<\/p>\n
Be on the lookout for signage on the FIRST Floor directing you to our Registration table. Volunteers will be on staff from 3:00pm onward to handle registration. If you\u00a0bought a T-shirt (or two)<\/a>, you can pick it up there as well.<\/p>\n
The BCB Hospitality Suite<\/a>, \u201cInara’s Shuttle\u201d will be on the Eighth floor and open late in the afternoon. If you are not staying on the Eighth floor you will need to find someone who is to get up there.<\/p>\n
Gallery of ‘Verse Collectables and Creations<\/a>\u00a0will also be open starting at 3:00pm. If you are arriving later, do check the on-site schedule for when you can\u00a0admire the goodies<\/a>.<\/p>\n
Random unorganized entertainment is on deck for the afternoon. Note that we have yet to receive approval from the hotel for a gosling juggling contest. We\u2019ll let you know if that changes. Lunch is on your own<\/a> if you arrive early. The hotel has a bar and restaurant and there are plenty of eateries nearby.<\/p>\n
We’ve added a special leather-themed activity<\/a> for everyone who arrives on Friday.<\/p>\n
The evening’s Unification Day Renunciation Party<\/a> will begin at 6:30pm at The ABQ Grill restaurant located on the first floor of the hotel.<\/p>\n

After 10:00pm, the party will move to the Club Lounge on the top floor of the hotel.\u00a0 It’s a luxurious space with breathtaking panoramic views of the Sandia Mountains and the city lights of Albuquerque.<\/p>\n
Once the party closes down, a late night movie screening or gaming may spontaneously combust, er, commence.<\/p>\n

SATURDAY<\/h2>\nBreakfast is on your own, though we do encourage you to find a crew on Friday and partake of the\u00a0local fare<\/a>\u00a0(check back for a additional options).<\/p>\n
Pick a track<\/h3>\n
The buses will be leaving at\u00a09:00AM or 9:30AM<\/strong>.\u00a0 Departure is from the hotel lobby. Lunch\u00a0is<\/em>\u00a0included with each track, but if you get hungry easily you may want to bring a snack. Make a new friend by bringing one to share.\u00a0 Note:<\/strong> the Jayne’s Leather Track will take place in the hotel, so no bus is required.<\/p>\n
Jayne’s\u00a0Leather\u00a0Track<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 International award-winning leather artisan, Mary Girven, owner of BrowncoatFashions.com, will teach you how to make your very own Shiny Jayne Wristband from start to finish, including leather cutting, stamping, hole punching, edge finishing, staining, burnishing, riveting, and hand sewing (with a sewing awl).<\/p>\n
The Tram Job\u00a0Track<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 A trip on the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway transports you above deep canyons and breathtaking terrain a distance of 2.7 miles. See some of nature\u2019s most dramatic beauty unfold before you. Your vantage point from the observation deck atop 10,378 foot Sandia Peak in the Cibola National Forest affords an 11,000 square-mile panoramic view of the Rio Grande Valley and the Land of Enchantment.\u00a0 Lunch will be included (you buy yer own drinks), at the restaurant on the raggedy edge of the Sandia Mountains!<\/p>\n
Battle of Acoma Valley Track <\/a>\u2013\u00a0A trip to Acoma Pueblo\u00a0 \u2013 known as the \u201cSky City\u201d \u2013 transports you 60 minutes West of Albuquerque, to visit the oldest inhabited community in the United States. The adobe houses, plazas, and walkways on the 367-foot tall mesa have been used for nearly one thousand years!\u00a0 The westward journey from Albuquerque rewards the traveler\u00a0with spectacular vistas, mountain ranges, volcanoes, mesas, and amazing geological rock formations. Bus leaves at 9:00AM<\/strong><\/p>\n
On-site Fun<\/h3>\n
The\u00a0Gallery of ‘Verse Collectables and Creations<\/a>\u00a0will be open during the day, you may be able to stop in for a while before the buses depart for the off-site activities and we expect it to be open during the break before dinner. It will also be open for a time for anyone who chooses not to take advantage of any of the above tracks. Do check the on-site schedule when you arrive should you want to linger as you admire the goodies<\/a>.<\/p>\n
Tours will be returning by 5:00pm, leaving you plenty of time to get ready for dinner and dancing. Late afternoon is time for\u00a0Primp and Prep<\/em>, or\u00a0Cigars and Brandy<\/em>. Ladies, if you need help with your hair or costume, come on up to \u201cThe Primping Room\u201d, adjacent to the Hospitality Suite! It will open at 5:30pm and close at 6:45pm. Gentlemen (and Scoundrels) are encouraged to gather in the Lobby Lounge, the hotel bar, at 6:00pm.<\/p>\n
We will have a professional photographer in the lounge and the grand hall area outside the ballroom, so you can prove to the rebels back home that you can dress up nice. Dancing lessons are possible, indeed probable.<\/p>\n
The hospitality suite will close at 6:30pm, so the organizers have time to get ready for the Ball and enjoy some of the pre-dinner socializing.<\/p>\n
Have a Ball<\/h3>\n
Saturday evening is the\u00a0Browncoat Ball<\/a>\u00a0with dinner, live music,\u00a0and dancing. Cocktails at 6:00pm and dinner at 7:00pm. Best\u00a0dressed contest. Door raffles. Special announcements. Random fun and ice-breakers. And now, The History of Chinese Martial Arts<\/a> demonstration. Shiny!<\/p>\n
For those of you on a budget or tight schedule, we may offer other options later on.\u00a0 The Browncoat Ball is by design a small, cozy event with a maximum of about 250 guests.\u00a0 So to ensure your participation, we encourage you to buy a full weekend package, because those will have priority over any single day or single event options.\u00a0 Of course we hope to have everyone come for the whole weekend event, however, subject to availability<\/em>, there may be a Saturday Only option and a Ball Only option available in August.
