We have discovered for the folks in Massachusetts that the MBTA commuter rail  only goes to TF Green during the week, not weekends!<\/p>\n<p>There is a ride-share (and room-share) topic on the <a href=\"\/forum\/\" title=\"forum\">forum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>By Car:<\/h3>\n<p>Southbound  on I-95: Take Exit 12A.\u00a0 Go East on Route 113.\u00a0 You will pass the hotel  on your right.\u00a0 At the first light turn right on Greenwich Avenue.\u00a0  Turn right again into the hotel\u2019s driveway.<\/p>\n<p>Northbound on I-95:  Take Exit 12.\u00a0 Go East on Route 113.\u00a0 You will pass the hotel on your  right.\u00a0 At the first light turn right on Greenwich Avenue.\u00a0 Turn right  again into the hotel\u2019s driveway.<\/p>\n<p>Southbound on I-295:\u00a0 Take Exit  2.\u00a0 Turn right to go South on Route 2.\u00a0 Turn left at Route 113.\u00a0 After  you\u2019ve crossed the highway, you will pass the hotel on your right.\u00a0 At  the first light turn right on Greenwich Avenue.\u00a0 Turn right again into  the hotel\u2019s driveway.<\/p>\n<p>Northbound on I-295:\u00a0 Take Exit 2.\u00a0 Turn  left to go South on Route 2.\u00a0 Turn left at Route 113.\u00a0 After you\u2019ve  crossed the highway, you will pass the hotel on your right.\u00a0 At the  first light turn right on Greenwich Avenue.\u00a0 Turn right again into the  hotel\u2019s driveway.<\/p>\n<h3>By Air:<\/h3>\n<p>Domestic Travelers:\u00a0 You will fly to T.F. Green Airport, airport code PVD.\u00a0 For information about the airport visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pvdairport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.pvdairport.com\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To  get from the airport to the hotel, go to baggage claim and find the  Info Booth.\u00a0 Tell them you want the shuttle to the Crowne Plaza on  Greenwich Avenue, and they will set it up for you.\u00a0 The shuttle is free.<\/p>\n<p>International  Travelers:\u00a0 Air Canada does fly to the Providence airport.\u00a0 For other  travelers, if you can\u2019t fly directly to Providence, go to Boston,  Massachusetts instead (airport code BOS).\u00a0 For information about the  airport visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.massport.com\/logan-airport\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.massport.com\/logan-airport\/<\/a>.\u00a0  Boston is about an hour\u2019s drive north of Providence.\u00a0 We advise against  renting a car \u2013 driving in Boston is not for the faint of heart.\u00a0 We  suggest that you contact us and we will advise you on the best way to  get to the Ball; there are public transportation options available, but  maybe we can hook you up with a ride.<\/p>\n<h3>By Public Transportation:<\/h3>\n<p>For bus schedules visit the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority\u2019s website: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ripta.com\/\">http:\/\/www.ripta.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Take the Route 20 bus from Kennedy Plaza to T.F. Green airport (there are other buses that go to the airport, but they don&#8217;t all run on weekends, and #20 does).  To get from the airport to the hotel, go to baggage claim and find the Info Booth.  Tell them you want the shuttle to the Crowne Plaza on Greenwich Avenue, and they will set it up for you.  The shuttle is free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MBTA (Boston area)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Commuter Rail system goes to Providence, and on weekdays it goes all the way to T.F. Green airport.  Unfortunately, the airport service doesn\u2019t run on weekends.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mbta.com\/schedules_and_maps\/rail\/lines\/?route=PROVSTOU\">http:\/\/www.mbta.com\/schedules_and_maps\/rail\/lines\/?route=PROVSTOU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>So on Friday, you can take the train all the way to the airport. To get from the airport to the hotel, go to baggage claim and find the Info Booth.  Tell them you want the shuttle to the Crowne Plaza on Greenwich Avenue, and they will set it up for you.  The shuttle is free.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, the train will take you as far as the Amtrak station at 100 Gaspee Street in downtown Providence. See below for instructions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By Amtrak:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Amtrak station is in downtown Providence at 100 Gaspee Street:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amtrak.com\/servlet\/ContentServer?pagename=am\/am2Station\/Station_Page&#038;code=PVD\">http:\/\/www.amtrak.com\/servlet\/ContentServer?pagename=am\/am2Station\/Station_Page&#038;code=PVD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>RIPTA tells us \u201ctake any #50 Douglas, #55 Admiral-PC, #56 Chalkstone, or #57 Smith bus.  They all travel from the Providence Train Station on Gaspee Street to Kennedy Plaza.\u201d It\u2019s less than a mile away; you could also take a cab. From Kennedy Plaza, the Route 20 bus will go to the airport. To get from the airport to the hotel, go to baggage claim and find the Info Booth.  Tell them you want the shuttle to the Crowne Plaza on Greenwich Avenue, and they will set it up for you.
